The JJAADA Academy's most comprehensive and sought after course comprising 100 days taken full-time over
a 6, 9 or 12 months flexible period to suit your own
needs and timetable.
Full-time: access to a 5-day week plus Saturdays,
Sundays and evenings.
Part-time: Saturdays, Sundays and evenings,
normally for members (students) in full-time employment,
who may have occasional free days such as holidays
when they are eligible to make use of the Academy
facilities.

at the start of the course, resulting in a Diploma

The course is taken
under the supervision of your personal tutor and is
normally spread over a 6-12 months period to accommodate
your other commitments. If desired, up to 50% of the
course can be dedicated to garden design.
You design your own brief and a programme is set up at the start of the course to ensure that all aspects
are covered within your chosen schedule. Some examples are given below:
- Drawing life models / groups of objects);
- 3-D
objects / sculpture / construction;
- Technical drawing skills / CAD (computer aided design);
- Model-making
/ lighting / photography / scanning images into
computers (Photoshop) / creating mood boards / watercolour
rendered visuals / presentations;
- Redesign a spiral staircase / roof terrace / barn etc;
- Paint
effects and finishes / trompe l'oeil etc;
- How
to control your contractors;
- Sourcing
from stone floor tiles to lighting;
- Antiques
and the history of art and Interior Design;
- Visits
to properties, historic and contemporary;
- Understand
business / consents / cash flow etc;
- Digital
CV and website (Dreamweaver etc);
- How
to market, find and keep your client;
- Think
smart / delegate / maximise your earnings;
- Be
financially successful and have a 'lifestyle';
- Specialise
in a favourite design style, eg Art Deco, Art Nouveau,
Bauhaus, Italian interior design, Scandinavian furniture,
Fifties domestic, Sixties, Feng Shui, etc.

Design Option (part of the Diploma Course)
We approach garden
design with the same 3D discipline as other design
genres.
JJAADA Academy Diploma - 100 days comprehensive
& professional (incorporating the 'Workstyle')
usually over 12 months.
Create a living space with the patio or terrace. Bring
the garden into the home.
Special
water and lighting effects. Splendour with colour
and form. Scale with trees, shrubs, bushes, other
3D objects. Japanese minimal - gravel, pebbles, reeds,
water. Force the ground with decking or sleepers.
Introduce art and sculpture into the garden.
Use exotic plants to create form and texture. Simple
approach to horticulture. Be a 'capability' Smith
and bring Art & Design to the landscape around
the home. Make the patio, terrace, garden user friendly.
Digital CV and website (Dreamweaver, etc). Business
and marketing advice. You can now design commercially
or for yourself, the rewards can be financial or personal
satisfaction.
